Curriculum / Instruction
The primary purpose of the Galt Joint Elementary Curriculum & Instruction Department is to assist
district personnel in improving instruction that leads to high student achievement in every classroom across our
district. We are proud of the academic performance gains made by all of our significant subgroups, and we are
pleased to announce that our district is the third highest performing district in Sacramento County. The
Curriculum & Instruction department is responsible for overseeing all functions related to Curriculum Standards & Frameworks, Professional Development, Standards-based Report Cards, State and District Assessments & Accountability, English Learners, Gifted & Talented Education, Home Study, Preschool, Youth Development,
Environmental Education, Promotion Retention, Textbook Adoptions, After School Education & Safety
(ASES), Library Services, Beginning Teachers Support & Assessment (BTSA), and Peer Assistance & Review (PAR).
