Dear Families and Community Members,

         Welcome to our Fairsite State Preschool and School Readiness Center! With the receipt of a multi-year grant from First 5 Sacramento, the Galt Elementary School District is excited to expand State Preschool services to include School Readiness services to children ages 0-5 in the Galt Community.

         School Readiness is preparing children to enter kindergarten “ready to learn.”  The years from birth through age five are a time of significant growth and change. In these years children develop basic knowledge, understanding and interests they need to become successful learners.    School Readiness includes five major areas: physical well-being and motor development; social and emotional development; approaches to learning; language development and communication; cognition and general knowledge.                                                                                                        Fairsite’s School Readiness program offers services to parents and children with the following goals in mind:

¨ Improved Systems of Cares
