***************************** You may now pay for school lunches online. Click here for directions.
***************************** Reminder: * Drop off and pick up students in our parent lot (corner of Bay Shore and Elk Hills). Our staff parking lot is a bus zone before and after school.
* We have no supervision on campus before 7:30, so please do not drop them off before then.
* Remind children to cross in the crosswalks and to obey safety patrol team members.
Thanks! This will help our Marengo Ranch students stay safe.
***************************** Please remember to sign-in at the office when you visit your children or help in the
classrooms. It protects all our children. ***************************** As you know traffic
starts backing up at 2:15. So, how can you help? Walk,
or ride bikes if you live close enough; carpool; or determine an
alternate meeting point (can older students meet at the corner of
Bay Shore and Lake Canyon?). ***************************** Just
a friendly reminder that we cannot allow students to cross the
street outside a crosswalk. The police consider this jaywalking and
have told us they will issue citations. In addition it is quite
dangerous, particularly at dismissal time.
Please help us by following these guidelines: Encourage
your child to always cross in the crosswalk. If
you are parked across the street, do not call your child to you. If
you insist on having your child cross at that location, you must
leave your vehicle and escort your child across the street. Try
an alternate pick up spot. In addition to the corner of Bayshore and
Elk Hills there is a crosswalk at Bayshore and Bay Landing. School
Personnel are present to enforce safety rules.
We know dismissal time can be frustrating.
Please work with us to make it better. *****************************
Do you plan on going on a fieldtrip with
your student's? If so, don't forget to fill out our Volunteer
Sheet. District policy requires that all volunteers must
register with the school office. The name of each volunteer is then
checked against the "Megan's Law" database under the supervision of the
Galt Police Department in the interest of the absolute safety of all
students. Make sure you have done this before your trip to avoid any
problems. Forms may be picked up in the office and returned to your
child's teacher.
***************************** Don't forget…
***************************** There are a few ways you can help us raise money for our school, click here to learn more about Target's Take Charge of Education, Raley's Quality of Life Card, General Mills Box Tops and eScrip. *****************************
Each month we recognize students who attended school on time,
everyday, all day of the month. We know that good attendance
is closely linked to good academic performance, so it’s our
pleasure to provide a “spirit tag” to students who make good
attendance a priority. This
year students can earn a spirit tag for every month…we’re
encouraging students to “collect all 11!” ***************************** Our health office is looking for the following: Clean socks for boys and girls. When children have "muddy" accidents, we have them change and keep them in school for the day. So we need Pants and shorts for boys Kinder thru 1st grade. Thanks, we appreciate your help. ***************************** ~ Toner Cartridge and Cell Phone Recycling ~ Mrs. Harris has found a way to recycle empty toner cartridges and cell phones that you would normally throw away. Just bring them to the office and she will send them off to a company who gives the school credit for some great supplies. ***************************** ~ Box Tops ~ We have been spending this money in a variety of ways. Our students have enjoyed great assemblies. Next we will purchase software for school computers. Thanks for all of the Box Tops you have been sending in. Keep up the good work! |
