Our District is focused on continuous improvement and growth is measured by annual surveys from our parents, staff and students. Surveys measure engagement, motivation, safety and well-being. Lois Yount

Mrs. Lois Yount became Galt Elementary’s Superintendent on July 1, 2021. Mrs. Yount has served 23 years in the District. She started her career as a bilingual 4th grade teacher at River Oaks Elementary School. Her roles in the District have included Assistant Principal, Principal and Principal on Special Assignment. She served as the District’s Chief Business Officer, 2018-2021. In addition, she has experience as a Principal Coach with the Sacramento County Office of Education’s Leadership Institute.

Mrs. Yount holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University, Chico and a Master’s of Science in Law from McGeorge School of Law. She holds a clear multiple subject teaching credential with a bilingual option and a clear Administrative Services credential. In 2021, she completed the training requirements for the California Association of School Business Official (CASBO) certification and obtained certification as a Chief Business Official.
