PUBLIC HEARING
The California Department of Education (CDE) requires each SELPA, annually, to obtain approval from its governing body for budget and service plans following a public hearing. The plans must be submitted to the CDE prior to June 30 for final approval. The Sacramento County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) Superintendent’s Coordinating Council is conducting this public hearing to receive comment by the members of the community on the 2022-23 Annual Service and Budget Plan. Copies of the Plan are available for viewing in the SELPA Office at 10474 Mather Field Blvd.

The GJUESD shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, gender, disability, age, marital status or religion in any of its policies, practices, or procedures. The District has a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of sex. The District's Nondiscrimination Policy complies with the requirements of Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 1990 and other federal and state laws.
PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
Every three years, the entire SELPA Local Plan must be reviewed and then annually, the Service Plan and the Annual Budget Plan must be reviewed. The Service Plan outlines available services SELPA wide as well as looking at the individual services provided by each LEA at each school site. The Budget Plan outlines the projected revenue and expenditures for our SELPA and LEAs, in addition to providing information on how SELPA allocates funds to the LEAS (called the Allocation Plan). Our SELPA has a hold harmless philosophy, meaning the resources are distributed based on needs. Our SELPA districts work collaboratively to ensure our districts receive resources needed to support students. Governor Newsom’s May Budget Revision will have an impact on this Annual Budget Plan and information will be amended after the final Budget is approved by the Legislator. SELPA will hold a public hearing on June 18th to obtain additional input.
